First!

Oh crap this thing is live how do I even

Gonna write down things here, status reports and ramblings about how Fo4 sculpting works, as well as excuses as to why new versions haven't been released.
I have like 9 cats and a job, and deal with chronic sleepiness, so don't worry - I have a ton of excuses lined up.

Stay tuned. Subscribe if you want to. I have no idea how subscriptions work on Blogger though, so if it sets fire to you or something, don't look at me : \

[Progress] Getting there

Sculpts have all been checked, and a list of needed changes made. Currently more than halfway through said list. The following sculpts need modified in some way: Region    517000    X    Y    -Z    X    Y    Z    95    3    ;Mouth - Corners Region    517010    X    Y    -Z    X    Y    Z    95    3    ;Mouth - Corners Fine Region    517030    X    Y    -Z    X    Y    Z    95    3    ;Mouth - Corners Scale X Region    517034    X    Y    -Z    X    Y...

[Status] Still alive

Dunno if anyone actually reads this thing, but might as well write something in case they do. I haven't felt much like working on FO4 stuff for more than a month, for various reasons, but I'm going to make an effort to get back into it. Extended stuff in the next update: Upper Nasolabial (moved by the Upper Jowls vanilla sculpt) Jaw - Outer Jaw - Inner Face - Lower Separate left/right for the eye sculpts, possible for the eyelid morphs too (need to make sure it's possible) Possibly more, but I think that would be a fair-sized update. Upper Nasolabial sculpt is done (just need to make sure I got one of the rotations mirrored), the rest should go reasonably quickly once I get on them. Update 0.6 coming soon to a game near you, probably.

[Status] Faffing about, messing with head and hair

As it turns out, one can move the Head bone in skeleton.nif to move the hair (or more accurately, the back half of the head, and the hair is sorta skinned to the Head bone as well). Similarly, one can move (and scale) the Head bone in skeleton_female_facebones.nif to move the entire face/front of the head. Although this takes changes to the neck to look right. While this affects NPCs as well (everyone uses a single skeleton), mild changes are fine, namely getting rid of the fore fivehead that females get and reducing the giraffe neck a bit. I'll probably release a modified skeleton that affects these changes.
